Washington D.C. Cherry Blossoms
Where do I begin. We decided to drive to D.C. and our main goal was to see what the hoopla was about the blossoms and maybe get a picture in front of the Lincoln Memorial. We left at 8 in morning hoping to beat the rush. Well, everyone else decided to do the same thing. It was crazy. The park where the majority of the blossoms were was crazy and no parking. So we finally gave up, parked illegally, took some pictures, jumped back in. Then drove another hour to find a handicap spot, and parked illegally again. We walked to the Washington Monument, only a few blocks away, the kids started crashing, walked back, got lost driving out of D.C. and drove home. All in all, it was a surreal experience seeing all of these sights you only hear and see pictures of. But was so crazy to try to maneuver around. The only cool part for the kids was walking to the monument. Our next visit we are obviously taking the metra in and seeing more sights. But this was just a taste and feel of D.C.

The Lincoln Memorial . It was cool to go to the Washington (the only one we walked to) because you got a great view of the Lincoln Memorial and the Capital. Keira and Aidan loved it up there!!
